What is IMPACT?

IMPACT’s mission is to empower the faith communities of greater Charlottesville and Albemarle County to create meaningful social change through unified, collective action.

We are a coalition of 29 congregations representing more than 15,000 people across the Charlottesville region. Rooted in Roman Catholic, Jewish, Protestant, Unitarian Universalist, and Muslim traditions, IMPACT reflects a spiritually, racially, and economically diverse community. By building strong relationships across racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic lines, we work together to address local challenges at their source and create lasting change.

Get Involved

IMPACT's Nehemiah Action is on Tuesday, March 24 at 6:30pm at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Performing Arts Center at Charlottesville High School. All are welcome and encouraged to attend this community meeting as IMPACT gathers to ask our elected public officials for support in implementing solutions to our community issues related to affordable housing, public transit, and neighborhood safety. Please RSVP so that we have an idea of who will be in attendance. Please encourage your friends, family, neighbors, and strangers to join this important community event.
